Hi! This is Robert!

Yep! That’s me!

I was raised in a lovely coastal village called L’Escala, at the heart of La Costa Brava in Catalunya (Spain), and born where Salvador Dalí, Figueres, in 1984

After having studied Industrial and Product Design, I decided to move to London to install some English in my Spanish brain. After an year, I went back to my beloved Barcelona where I started my career as a 3D Automotive Modeller. Some time after that, I “had to move”, first to Graz (Austria) and later on to Munich (Germany), on a 3 year period. I had the chance to work directly with the design teams of Infinity, Audi, Bmw and Rolls Royce. Great experience and huge new knowledge! Thank you all!

In my spare time I love to spend time at my family workshop designing stuff (lamps, furniture…), building motorbikes, experimenting with materials, tools, welding, cutting, painting… get hands on, mainly. Computers are needed at this century, but your hands get awkward after a while.

A part of that, and as you can see here in my blog, sailing and traveling takes a big part of my life. I’ve to say I discovered the sea (as a sailor) not as soon as you can expect. In 2005 I get my very first sailing license…and after that a couple more until I got the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (I am so proud of that…one of the best ways to prove yourself you are a capable sailor, really).

Sailing and living on board for a while have something that makes it so special for me. It’s about human relations, psychology training, adventure, discovering new places, amazing moments, bad experiences that make your brain grow fast, a life without all those extra things that we don’t really need in our everyday lives…and the list could go on and on.

Here I will be posting my sailing and traveling experiences, mainly from the sea point of view, but other travel experiences will be welcome to.

Welcome on board!

Rob
