Green landscapes, great beaches, amazing food, pure air, lovely mountains…and many many more. That’s my point of view from this part of Spain. And this is what I am about to show you on the following pics.
North Spain is not only the Vasque Country (since is the most visited part of this spanish geographical part) but also, attached to the ocean, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia. We should also talk, of course, about La Rioja (the wine zone in Spain) and Castilla León.
It has 600 km of oceanic coastline, meaning that you will enjoy different views from morning to afternoon due to changing tidal heigh of the Atlantic Ocean. Beaches literally covers and uncovers. Furthermore, you can get from a lovely beach to the mountains in less than 2 hours…meanwhile enjoying one of the best views in Spain.
But there is even more than the nature itself. The villages are just lovely. Just to name a few, Comillas, Lastres, Cudillero, San Vicente de la Barquera…
Furthermore, it is one of the best places for surfing in South Europe (or this is what they say…I do not surf…).
North of Spain and great food are almost synonyms. Almost. Everybody knows that. I am not discovering nothing new here. But, really, if you are a “foodie” or a “wine lover”, you should spend a week here. You won’t regret and will come back more than one time in your life.
The meaning of tranquility takes another dimension here…where the natural landscapes are outstandinf. If you don’t believe me (wich I guess you do), have a look at those ones…and judge by yourself.
